Allentown, P.A. – April 15, 2019 – The Allentown office of O’Neal Inc., an integrated design and construction firm, has recently added four new members to its biopharmaceutical team: Steven Fried, Construction/Project Manager; Wiley “Gene” Tuttle, Senior Project Specialist, Erony Martin, Mechanical Engineer; and Ellen Venezia, Business Development Manager.
With over 30 years of project management experience, Steven Fried has managed construction projects for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food and beverage industries. Fried will be leveraging his extensive knowledge in engineering, procurement and construction for new biopharmaceutical projects at O’Neal. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
Gene Tuttle brings over 30 years of process engineering proficiency to the BioPharm unit of O’Neal. His work in the life sciences includes biotech and API. Operations experience includes fermentation, media preparation and distribution, clean utilities, CIP and waste water systems. He has supported projects for clients including Merck, Amgen, Novo Nordisk, Wyeth and Eli Lilly. Gene has a BS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Ellen Venezia has over ten years of experience as a business development and sales professional. Her career has been focused exclusively in the life sciences industry, including a technical background in process engineering design. As an ISPE member for nearly 20 years, Venezia brings a large network of contacts and relationships to the firm’s life science clients. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University.
Erony Martin’s background includes the design of HVAC utility systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial clients. Her experience in equipment sizing and selection will bring added bench strength to O’Neal’s design team, where she will be involved in all phases of mechanical engineering—from concept through detailed design. Martin earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Biology from Ursinus College.
